About Mississippi

The use of NJUNS began in Mississippi in 1996 as Bellsouth and Southern Company continued to expand from Georgia to Florida and other parts of the southeast. It was Bellsouth and Mississippi Power in the central and southern areas of the state to begin using NJUNS. Over the years it has expanded to other entities such as Entergy and many electric cooperatives.

NJUNS provides two Mississippi user group meetings a year. This gives users an opportunity to discuss NJUNS and joint use related issues. The meeting dates and minutes of these meetings are posted within this portfolio.
